Hydraulic elevators use cylinder-based technology to move the cabin smoothly up and down. The power unit, including the oil pump and controller, is installed at the lowest floor near the hoistway.

These elevators require minimal shaft space while offering maximum cabin area. They are ideal for low-rise and home elevator applications where space and floor height are limited, and are best suited for low-traffic usage.
